When it got time to dine, Peter H had gone AWOL leaving just six of us - he'd eaten too many roll-mops which he had bought earlier in Peel. We had a very nice meal, We finished the n ight off in The Queens pub, very close to our hotel, where we were joined by Peter H.
Day 4. Friday. After breakfast we all headed for Laxey and the Wheel. We all agreed that it was not just an impressive sight, but an outstanding engineering achievement.
From Laxey we made for Peel, where four of us visited the Mannanan Museum - very impressive. Graham, Ken and Kevin went to Peel Castle. They had some difficulty making it known at a local shop what a 'Fish Butty' was. Even more confused was he when they wanted three of them and there were only two fish.
After relaxing in the Hotel for a while we headed back to Peel and had a meal in the Creek Inn - a recommended eating establishment. In the next room we were entertained by a local band who were outstanding, a blues band who played from Muddy Waters to Robert Palmer - a fantastic night.
