The 2017 tour by a bunch of Tykes who venture to Barcelona.
I booked tickets for Guell Park online to avoid queing at the gates, arriving there for entry at 1pm. We were a bit early, so had a coffee in a nearby cafe. Unfortunately, Kevin didn't make it, he was negotiating a room change in the hotel. Five of our group left the park early, leaving Eddie and myself to explore further. We made our way to the top of the park where the Three Crosses are situated - fantastic views over Barcelona. The two of us visited the Cathedral on our way back including access to the roof - the Cathedral is quite stunning.
We had our evening meal at Bliss which was nearby. A vast improvement on the hotel, at least the food was warm. This was followed by our usual tipple at the Idea Bar. They did manage to sell out of the excellent IPA though.
After breakfast today, we caught the Metro to Sants railway station and bought tickets to Salou. Some of our group had been there previously albeit a long time ago, for most of us it was our first time. Unfortunatley, on this ocassion Salou was shut. I would expect it to be quite nice in summer.
After dinner we went to the Idea Bar again where there was a Jazz session for the entertainment - excellent. I don't know what we will do tomorrow night because it will be closed.
