Our hotel, The Caledonia has a Chinese Restaurant where we had an evening meal. Peter and myself ducked out of the evening drink session.
Day 3 - Thursday. Traditional breakfast at 9. Thought that we may make a tour of the island, so set off in the direction of Castletown, a nice small town. After a short walk around had refreshments in the Chip Inn cafe. A lovely cup of tea was served.
Our next stop was Port St. Mary. Had a short wander round the port area and then headed down to the most southerly part overlooking Chicken Island and Calf of Man. A few tourists here in the cafe. Further refrehments were had - non-alcoholic. From here, we made for Port Erin and had further refrehments in the Bay Hotel that sold the local Bushey's beer. We started ordering half-pints of beer and Kevin was looking quite worried thinking that a half-pint would be imposed on him. Anyway Peter H joined him in downing a pint. In the mean time, Richard, the driver had gone AWOL. Ken's mobile soon found him and the car was delivered to the door. From here, we set off for Peel and had a look around a small History of the TT exhibition. Arriving back in Douglas we stopped off at the Terminus public house and booked a table for seven for our evening meal.
