The 2017 tour by a bunch of Tykes who venture to Barcelona.
The morning started well with an excellent breakfast in the hotel. This was followed by a walk around the harbour and a coffee in a cafe.
Feeling refreshed we caught the cable car over the harbour to the hill overlooking the city - surprisingly stable. Descending the hill we made our way back towards the Rambla. Ken, Kevin and Richard went back to the hotel, the rest of us walked to the Sagrada Familia to enquire about booking for a visit.
We ate our evening meal in the hotel. It wasn't brilliant, the potatoes and vegetables were cold, but at least wine was included. Ken and myself allowed Kevin to take us to a bar that he had visited in the afternoon. Unfortunately, although it was only 2 minutes from the hotel it took him 20 minutes to find it. It was, however, well worth it. There was live music and good beer to be had here in the Idea Bar.
After breakfast today, we caught the train up the coast to Pineda de Mar. We strolled through the market, punctuated by a coffee and then made our way to Calella along the beach walkway. Further refreshment was had in the main shopping street of Calella.
After dinner in the hotel we went to the Idea Bar for liquid refreshment and traditional Spanish music - a very good entertaining evening.
