Started writing this whilst on the boat from Aberdeen to Lerwick. Graham and Roy were already on the train to Manchester, Ken, Peter and myself joined them at Hudersfield. Turned out to be quite an uneventful journey, we changed trains at Manchester, Preston and Haymarket, arriving at Aberdeen where we joined Kevin, who was already there.
We made our way to the port and straight onto the boat and to our cabins, Ken, Peter and myself in one, Graham, Kevin and Roy in the other. Kevin and Roy went straight onto the pints, the rest of us being more cautious at such an early time. Shortly after setting sail we all tucked into some food, washing it down with alcohol for the rest of the evening.
Arrived in Lerwick at 07:30 but did not disembark immediately. We had a leisurely breakfast on board and departed the ship at about 09:30 and than walked to our B & B at Glen Orchy House.
